A Nike Air CGI study tests whether motion serves the shoe

Footwear offers complex silhouette, texture, cushioning, and construction. The strongest shots use movement to reveal those properties rather than rotate the model continuously.

Easing communicates physical character

Sharp acceleration can suggest performance; suspended movement can suggest lightness; compression can explain cushioning. These associations work only when animation weight, contact, and material response agree.

This is speculative portfolio work. A brand commission would also require accurate supplied geometry, color, trademarks, material approval, and claim review.

The production pain point

Feedback on early product animations often calls for more intentional timing, secondary motion, and fewer default fades. Build a grayscale animatic first. Approve shot function and rhythm before spending time on final simulations and rendering.
